Jupiter & Moons

Was up early (3am) with both the ETX & Dobsonian telescopes for a look at the planets... I managed a nice shot of Jupiter and some very poor attempts at Venus. Jupiter always looks interesting through the telescope, offering a wonderful view of it's moons on axis.

Closer to home, wonderful silhouette of the sun rise behind Foel Cwmcerwyn, will try to photograph that soon.

Non-standard Cosmology and watercolour

I'm going to be giving a discussion on my astronomy paintings and also my approach to explaining the connections between the world around us and the wider universe in my work. This is with delegates from UNESCO and some art foundations in the UK. I'll post more information as it gets nearer.

There will also be a star-party in Pembrokeshire later in June. Details on this site and twitter to follow.
